The stripes and dark appearance kill it all in my opinion. It certainly doesn't look like 2 years worth of effort.

Man, that really doesn't look like two years of work. Now I don't feel so bad spending a few months on mine. If you spent two years on it, it must have gone into the technical aspects of this right? I really don't want to downplay your effort but I find this site visually unappealing, it almost looks like a blank site template or something.

Wow, now that I'm a member I realize that your site proves the point that functionality and service trump any design problems that might be. Is this too good to be true? I hope your site is up forever.. How DO you afford that bandwidth??

Also, its kind of obvious but on your main page the background and banner are one so it doesnt look that great. Expand your div box that you use for file uploads to take up the full height and width.

Other than that, I give it 4 stars because you're a hottie

I think that the work in the background of this site seems very good, but I agree with the general vibe that it is quite visually unappealing. Fortunately, I think there is one little thing that would improve it tenfold - remove the stripes from all the objects. It's fine having it as a background, but the entire site seems to camouflage itself when you have it in the foreground as well. I think that with that small improvement, the entire site will look a lot better
