Hey all,
This is a website about me, Ivan Cash.
Its primary purpose is to help my career—as a graphic designer and creative advertiser— take off, or at least give me an edge over the competition.
It also is for my friends and family that are interested in the work I'm doing—both art stuff and writing.
Please browse around, pick it apart, and let me know what you think—from both a content and design standpoint. Love it??? Great, let me know! Find it hideous??? That's fine too; just make sure to include constructive critisism. Thanks ya'll.

Nice site, some pages have a lot of white space which isnt too user friendly, but other than that it's difficult to fault.
The slideshow images are a very nice touch I must admit.

Ivan, The site looks nice
a small problem: in your <div id="resume_header>
the repeated slashes ////// are too many and go out of the borders of the div maybe you should eliminate about 50 of them
Two more suggestions, if you want to eventually be found for the words 'graphic design in New York' or something like that
you might want to consider putting those words in your titles of the pages (instead of having 'Ivan Cash' all the time) just make it so its human readable,
and make some link exchanges with other graphic designers and related sites

looks very nice, but the resume page is a little mis-aligned in firefox. You should fix that in case an employer views it in FF it looks a little un professional. Overall very nice site though.

It's "okay". The minimalist look and feel is all right with me; I don't like stuff I have to spend all day figuring out.
But honestly, 150 hours? Dude, it shouldn't have taken you anywhere near that long. The skin's not that complex, and you don't have that much content either.
A few minor things:
Put img {border: none} into your CSS file. You'll see why when you put that in and then look at your portfolio page (now without the ugly blue border!)
Don't use Avant Garde as a plain text font. It doesn't work if the user is looking at it with a browser that doesn't anti-alias the text. Arial is fine.
The one thing you may have to look at down the road is a more complex layout, in order to dazzle a prospective employer. I'd leave that alone for now, though, and see what happens with this.

Its ok but the picture does not say much for me. I look at it and wonder what it has to do with the site. The first question that I have is.. what is this site about? Took me a while to figure that out. What kind of work are you looking for???

I like how the simplistic design puts more focus on your actual art. The eye will look at the most interesting picture. Just like how you would look at a flash before the rock behind it. Great artwork. The first page loaded a bit slow but it was fine from there. Had a problem with the //// one one page. Forgot which but it was something that would make me want to leave.

Very clean almost too clean for my tastes, a few of the pages could use a different layout. Try finding and even flow for the pages they are very different and maybe a little more color would help define things.

Hi there!
I like your site - it loaded quicky for me, and the first image I saw made me want to look at more of your work (which is waht your'e after). Its clean, clutter free and easy to navigate, but Id loose the / inbetween your menus, everything else is "up and downy" rather than slanted.
I found the font used on your profile page a little fuzzy, and not as pleasing to the eye as a simple verdana or such - but thats just me.
The image slide show is fine - but Id get rid of the blue border around the artwork, change it to a pale grey, or just add slight drop shadows - also, Id make the loader smaller and without they "grey out" overlying the images behind as the larger image loads. I loved your artwork, and your photography is great.
Id agree with changing the title of your pages to something more likely to be picked up in SE, and think more about your keywords - words like "cool" will generally pick up refrigerator sites...
Over all, its simple and shows off your work, Id just tweak it to be a little more engaging. Best of luck!
