1st off, don't run a web design company when your, well... you know... bad at web design.
Don't get me wrong, looking over your site shows you definately have potential and you are interested in learning, which is the most important part.
Start off with looking around at good designs, notice similarities between different pages
Get a good graphic program if you dont already (Photoshop) and read web design based tutorials
Start with a design, if you get stuck, close it and don't save. Rebuild up to that point, doing different stuff a long the way, then go past where you were stuck before. Keep doing that a few times and watch how a project evolves. Don't use prior versions as a reference at all, except in your head.
Thats how I started anyway.
I'm not trying to be a jackass or anything, and I encourage you to stick with it.
