Hey guys, I would like some comments on the design of 6pins.com. It's running off of vBulletin, but we didn't want to regular bloated vBulletin look, so we stripped it down. It seems webmaster-talk has done a good job of that as well.

We wanted something different, simple, and easy to navigate.

What do you think?

I really like that design.

It is simple, clean and easy on the eye.

The only thing you could "maybe" do is add a bit more colour to the site as it could be percieved as a bit bland.

I think the gradient right on top (gray to white) should have a darker tone, and I think the frames on the left should be darker as well.

Those are my suggestions.

The website is great.

Dang, the that is probably the best looking forum site I have ever seen. It is very nice, sleek, and clean. Wonderful! My only issue is that I couldn't tell what the site was about right off the bat. Maybe try making the "design. coding. programming. search. marketing. business." stand out more or place it somewhere else. Very nice job though.

I like the clean cut but is missing some color that might bring little live to the forum.

I'm glad you guys like it! I'm going to be adding some mods to certain sections of the site, and the design is a bit thin for some of them. I'm starting to contemplate a redesign I must say, for that reason and a slight lack of contrast. Maybe I'll keep a widen version of this theme as an option.

By far one of the better designs I've seen on this forum. Clean, simple, white background; it's all very good. I only have one minor complaint and that being the text overlap on the girl in the box near the top.

I like the design but now how the forum is laid out. I like seeing post and thread counts in forums...this is definitely missing that.

To me, those are empty stats that just clutter things up. What's the benefit of having those stats?

Well most webmasters like to see that so they can see the activity rate.

Can't you judge that by the stats on the left column?
