Website Review and Suggestions

I would like to know if there are any good site search engines out there? I have researched a few and I really like sli-systems. But its kind of pricey for for a starter site. What im looking for is a site search that has good organization of content. Good appearance of search results, with nice bullets or arrrows. Ability to change colors of text, bullets, and highlight text. Plus many other options.

Can I get some options in here? And please dont refer me to google mini. I am looking for something that displays orderly and organized not something that displays search results like a bunch of random text and looks ugly (like most site search) utilities.

Please post recommendations. Thanks.

Are we talking about a large site or a smaller website?

Are you Ok running a cron job in the background?

this is a small site right now, which is not active yet. Itwill be a medium size site once complete...and if it gets traffic well...then you know how it goes. Things start small and end up larger. I have no clue what a cron job is, please explain. Thanks.
