Heres a link to my portfolio. Can I get some feedback on how fast the videos loaded for you guys? I'm going to have to re-code it because it doesnt stream. Let me know what you guys think of the design too!

That's a hot-looking portfolio.
I personally will never grow tired of the reflection graphics. I think Apple brought them into the mainstream a few years ago but they just look so **** good.
The work within your portfolio is quite impressive as well. Good show
Check out mine, if you want.

Thanks a lot. I have more content but I only put a portion of my work up there, I tried to show that I can do a lot of different type of graphic design work.
Your site is lookin real nice. If I were you I'd try to do some rollovers with the links though. Great color scheme too

Your image rollovers have delays on them, i don't know if you have done this on purpose, but it irratates me (try preloading them or doing them in flash) and your text seems too small on your about and contact page. Also on your design and video page there is no content, I don't even know what i'm looking at . Apart from those small hicups, its a unqiue and nice design.

nice portfolio ... very clean colors .... the only problem will be the loading of your pics ... try something more than a usual to load the pics easier.

Haha, I do wallpapers for people A LOT, so I figure I'd put some of that on there. Thanks for your comments
To Santowhir: I think your internet must be going slow or something, because there definitely is content on the two pages, and it also could explain why there are delays with the rollovers. Thanks for the criticism though.
To Alexmac: Can you tell me why you don't like it so I know how to improve it in the future?

I like the overall look, I do agree, preloading the menu images will eliminate that delay or at least make sure they're as small as possible. I guess it didn't bug me that bad though.
One thing I love to see in portfolio sites is a next / prev button so I can fire through your work without having to move my mouse, sounds lazy but it is nice.
You could also have it so the image you are currently on is a link to the next one, include a title tag that says "View tje next design..."

Hey Jethro,
First off, very nice portfolio. It's very clean and easy to browse through. Although I believe it would be fine the way it is now, there are just a couple of things that bug me:
One is the blurry text when you mouse over, more than anything else it just causes my eye to twitch because it's the only thing out of focus and it's also the main concentration when someone is looking at that menu item. I didn't really notice the load delay when I viewed the navigation, however it would be a good idea to pre-load those mouse over images beforehand.
The other thing that bugged me was on the video page. For me, I had to wait a good bit before any of the videos started streaming. An option I would like to propose is that you could encode the videos into an FLV format and use a flash video player to stream the media however you probably don't want to sacrifice video quality as well as the ability to full screen for that. At the very least tell the user that the video may take a few moments to load before playing.
That's really the only suggestions I have, otherwise a really well done portfolio!

Yeah, thats what i was mentioning up top with the videos. I need to change it for sure, and I knew it too, just havent had the time/didn't really want to at the moment. Hopefully in a couple weeks when i'm back from vacation i can get everything done. I really appreciate the comments.
Also as a lot of you can see, I'm more of a designer than a coder. It really helps me a lot when you guys say what things i can do coding wise.

I like it, too, it's simplistic but still shows a lot of good design. I have a pretty fast internet, but for some reason, none of the videos showed up for me. Other than that, I would say you should probably make the font for the Contact and About pages bigger. My suggestion for the About page is simply to make a scroll bar so the text can be bigger but you don't have to rewrite it to be any shorter. The rollovers at the bottom worked perfectly for me...
Overall, very nice! Great job.

i've never seen links go out of focus when you mouseover them! Other than that, I think its really nice for a small site.

I really like the design. Maybe if it was a little larger. Make the banners and pictures larger.
Good job.

I personally liked how the links go out of focus when you mouse over them. That way you can read them easily until you hover, you don't have to hover in order to read them.

Great layout and presentation.
Would increase font size in About section.
and Definitely increase font size in Contact.
If potential clients can't read, they'll never be able to get ahold of you.

Very nice!
Though, "Seasons" is linked wrong in the larger view
Remove "/graphics" from the URL
