Website Review and Suggestions

Hello,

I am trying to build a site for frustrated tech workers who have had their jobs or will have their jobs outsourced/offshored.

I was looking for a place to talk about this and couldnt find one, so figured i'd create my own.

What features do you think I could add to the site to make it more useful?

I"m already working on a new look and feel.

Well... I guess it's a good idea to have a place where you can rant and rave about problems you're facing. Not sure how useful it is to people that have lost their jobs to outsourcing since all threads that I've read are simply complaints that don't really offer any real solutions (I've read one that suggests duping the foreigners into screwing things up), and some are downright degrading. Which isn't to say I think it's fair but, everything boils down to the bottom line, income line that is.
Programming has really become somewhat of a low level job (think mining in the mid 1800's) and I guess you all will have to addapt to that by becoming better at other things. It's either that or "bite the dust" as it were. Guess you're going to have to live with it

There's no design. It's like the most basic color scheme. Bland. Content is alright I guess but yep.

Its an interesting concept but a bad name you want outsourcing sucks or outsourcing something when I saw offshoring I first thought gambling then I thought working offshore like on an oil rig or something and about design try and get a forum skin

I agree completely with compjason's comments. The layout is as basic as it gets for a forum. The header looks slapped on. However, interesting concept and I hope this takes off for you.

Very interesting topic.
Design is basic and simple. May be a good thing.
Obviously you haven't given any thought to "offshoring" the design to a specialist.

I think you got something worth talking about though.
It may be more suited in blog format vice a forum.

Ya, I agree about the bland look, I bought a skin from vbSkinWorks.

They have not activated my download in 4 days now!! I think they might be offended by my site and have decided not to give me the skin, but I haven't gotten a refund.

I hope they respond and give me either my skin or a refund or I will be reporting them to whoever I can, and hmmm, maybe a denial of service attack.

I wanted outsourcingsucks.com but it was taken. And to me offshoring is what bothers me, outsourcing doesn't mean going to India or china, but I guess that's what everybody thinks of. Many companies outsource to other companies in the US so I guess I was trying to be accurate.

on ur opening page chage the text colour so it doesnt blend in with the background...
