Website Review and Suggestions

Hey Guys,

I run a hybrid upload / community site called Now Upload and I just recently started working on the third version of it. However now I really don't know what direction I want to take the site in...

The current version of Now Upload, is an odd mix of a upload site very similar to version 1 (a typical file dump site) and a typical break.com or ebaums world sort of thing. There are more limitations of what can be uploaded and all content is moderated. Users can upload, rate, and embed content on their own myspace profiles or webpages if desired.

The defining aspect of Now Upload v2 is the embeddable audio player that allows users to upload an mp3, get the embed code, and post the player on their website or profiles.

Now with Version 3, I really need some ideas about what direction I should take the site. Current ideas are:

Gear it more as a simple upload site such as megaupload.com or rapidshare.com
Expand on this Hybrid type of Site and if so, what should I add/change/remove
Or go for a typical content site similar to Break.com or ebaumsworld.com.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
I tried a lot but couldn't get success to open your site. I couldn't understand what's problem either my side or your server side. Please check it from your webserver.

My host just moved to a new data center and didn't provide me with new ip's until I just asked for them. They tend to scare me from time to time...

I think you should come up with your own unique idea rather than try to copy other's ideas.

Unique Ideas are seemingly in short supply now an' days as they all seem to be mash-ups of previous ideas with a quirk different. So I'm trying to take the best aspects of a already popular site. Right now I consider Now Upload to be a unique concept considering it's doing something that hasn't been done before in it's own unique way a mix between a break.com and basic upload site. However the community side of it didn't take off, only the file host side did, but it's the embedded content that makes it so successful.

I'll have to back up and figure out what should be kept and what should not be kept. Thanks for your input.

hmmm
You need better design, your site looks like it is selling this e-books and not like upload site, you need some blocks with videos running or images of videos, just like youtube, metacafe and others, if you want people to start uploading, if you just want to ahve upload site then this is fine, but to compete vs best and biggest you will need to make it more attractive.
