Be brutally honest!

Ive recently given it a CSS based layout, although im having a great deal of difficulty trying to get it to appear properly with IE so it might be a while until its compatible with all browsers [although theres no major differences].

I still need to test it in Opera aswell, havent got round to it yet though.

The link is in my sig

I think it looks good and I'm sure you have given the design element alot of thought, but I see one thing..

Since this a portfolio site that you're hoping to get business through, I would loose the small text. You don't want your prospective clients to have to squint just to read your page. This might make them go elsewhere.

Hmm... I think it could do with a cleaner layout and cleaner graphics design...

But then again, that's my personal preference... I like clean looking sites...

Thanks for the comments.

It was looking a bit cleaner until I increased the font size. I still need to change the size of some of the divs so that things line up properly. I'll do it within the next hour or so

Nice site, the layout and the design were great . I found the text inside the banner a bit hard to read though .

Not taking into account the style you've used which I've seen far too often, you've done a great job pulling it off.

The first word that comes to mind is cluttered.

I also don't like the scrolling div that you have added. Personally, I do not like seeing a scrolling div disabling me from being able to view more content at a single time, nor do I think it's pertinent to use when you're trying to showcase a portfolio even if it is used to display news/updates.

The contrast between your font color and background makes my eyes burn, and the room is pretty dim right now. I'm not also a big fan of dark colors either, so that's adding to it.

I just don't think those colors really suit your portfolio. It's dark, dreary, and depressing when I look at it. I think more of a gore filled video game then I do a designer.

Also, get rid of the image map. Slice the images, and create an un-ordered list to display your main navigation. You can then use css to stylize it (eg: displaying them inline as well as giving the background of the image you've sliced.) This leads to better accessibility.

I'm exhausted otherwise I'd critique it so more. It's a good start, but there's definite room for improvement.

To be honest: It's good, but nothing special.
