The layout is fantastic, simple and clean, easy to read. Design is a little cheesy though but overall good.

Hm, how is an Egyptian sand castle related to "Bam" or a web directory?

Nice design, but you should really customize your site by making or hiring a designer to create a nice logo to stand out.

Bam is not Egyptian. It's a city that was destroyed in an earthquake a while ago.

Any other suggestions on how to improve it?

IE 5+, Actually it still looks good just the Header doesn't align perfectly on the right side. It moves around oddly when you press links
