Website Review and Suggestions

Hello all,

Please review my sites. I have two of them. Both are basically text oriented sites. First one has a discussion forum as well.

www.reikimaster.com.pk

I am not a web designer and have no computer related formal education. I know only a bit of html. Would welcome and appreciate any suggestions.

Hi remeo,

your "REIKI" web site looks simple and neat, the web site body is ok, but there will be a great improve if you can change the website header into more graphical design

anyway its just my personal opinion.

I you dont hav much experience in web designing then i can only say that your site is very good,for a n00b in web design (i think) its a very good design

I agree with gpy6529, that you need better graphical design in the header

Also you can read some articles about web 2.0 design

Hi,

I think they are great. I prefer sites with less graphics, and well organised and not too much text per page, so this does well.

If you want to add a little more graphical logos like the other folks are suggesting, I use http://stats.xaraonline.com/ID.87856...affiliate.html

Its a really simply to use, but very powerful package.

I prefer your reiki site. The google ads blend better with the page, so its likely you'll get more clicks. The homeopathy page, the google ads in the left stand out a little too much, ie, they don't appear to be part of the page, so expect less clicks there.

Other than that, its a neat page, and the text on it should be liked by the search engines too.

Hi gpy6529 and manishsinha, I suppose your point about the header graphic is valid. I have read a number of articles about web designing and have tried to take care of as many points as I could with my little knowledge, like consistency of pages, easy to read text, size of text, preference of text links over graphic links, less number of images, loading time, not too bright or pungent colors, simple design, meta tags, text to code ratio and so on but obviously lack of real skill particularly in making the graphics is a handicap. Will try to improve it.

Hi John! Thanks for your views. Both sites were launched in first week of April this year. Reiki site has attained page rank 2 in such short time (?) but homeopathy site is still at zero. I cannot understand the reason. It might be because it lacked the links page, which I have put up last week and is yet to be crawled by Google.

The click rate for Reiki site that blends is less than 10% but that of homeopathy site (excluding the forum) is more than 15% even though the ads don't blend completely. I kept the present color of links after experimenting with different layouts. The real trouble is (frankly speaking) that no one seems to be convinced by the write up because no one asks for my services. That is why I had thought of requesting for site review. I have a feeling that there is something seriously wrong somewhere that keeps the people from consulting me for their health conditions even though every word of my pages including the testimonials is absolutely true. I continue to scratch my head. Hopefully one day I shall find out the reason.

I know you probably want the google ads for income purposes, but the first thing i thought when i went to a treatment page like that and saw ads everywhere was "this is a scam." Maybe, you could cut down on the ads, or replace them. Maybe its just me?

Thanks for your views. My clients come basically from my own city of living only, rarely from cities nearby and never from else where while the readers come from all over the world. Yet, I agree with you and have removed all ads except just one towards the bottom. Let us see how it works.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I have removed the ads from Reiki site. For the homeo site, it is yet to be done.

I did not make them more bold because I thought they were already quite prominent.

you can easy use some free template designs or try to pay for designer at freelancer websites
