Ok,

Here's my site http://www.kaido-sports.com

I can't seem to figure out the correct color combination for the left menu so I just left it as white text links, I know this is bad, but I'm out of ideas. Some help please

Name Rob:
Computer Type :PowerBook G4
OS : MAC OS X 10.3.3
Browser : Safari 1.2.1 and IE:MAC 5.2

1 The colour for your menu links is not the problem with the text being white more you need to set the background to a darker colour maybe.

2. Your 'Welcome to KAIDO Sport' text does not work wrap on either of my browsers and so goes across the page a fare bit. Also a lot of other long text on your other pages to the same

3. On page http://www.kaido-sports.com/pdetails...w=KSTPJS13SILL the grey box just above the [View Cart] button did not do anything.

Other than that, no other biggies I can see .. I did not look into content but the design gets a 6-7 on the Robometer

Regards
Truthful Rob

NOt bad at all. My only comment is that on products pages change colour of links to something that fits with your overall colour scheme rather than the usual blue. They stand out as links sure but clash a lot + youve used same blue as price colour 7 since this blue is always associated with links I thought it was a link initially so would suggest changing this too. Nav bar on left seems fine. Though a little hard to read initially as its very pale I like that it darkens when you hover.

keep at it & nice site

Pretty good site, I'd give it somewhere around a 8.0. Just a couple of comments:

- The layout isn't friendly to 800x600, looks like you designed it for 1024x768, I know fewer and fewer people are running 800 these days, but that's still possibly a paying visitor that is annoyed at the sidways scrolling

- The main page has a lot of text on it, each paragraph is about something else, but since they aren't really distinguished I have to read all of them potentially before finding the one that I want to click on. Maybe provide some bold heading or something for each paragraph?

Overall excellent site

You have just the right balance of graphics, color, and white space to make this a winner. A few things to consider:

I'd suggest making the navigation menu a little shorter. Making too many links on the nav bar might discourage visitors, or make them feel lost. I would instead make them kind of "collapse".

So, for example, but all the "top level" menuitems up front, then when someone wants to look at "S13 Silva Lighting" they could click on that, and then see a sub-menu of "headlights, clear corner, etc".

The overall design of the site is pretty nice. Although you have some tweaks you can do... like having Alt tags for all of your images... and on products images have a link on the images as well... also the little [+] on the menu I really don't get it... If the menu was laid out a little better it would be nice.... but overall nice design...

The site looks so much better than the last time I looked at it. I think the colors look good together. The only thing I would change is the color of the link hover. It looks red (too close to the orange but not close enough) and sort of clashes with the orange. Maybe try a blue or green. Or even just a darker gray.

Keep up the good work.

In general your website is very good. You have a nice balance of colour and the navigation is simple. However there are a few main problems with the website.

The first is the header "Welcome to kaido sports". It does not stand out from the page and therefore will not cath the readers attention. This should be made larger and the font should be changed to make it different from the remaining content. Possibly, it could be incorporated into the car image that appears above the main header.

Secondly, there is way too much text for the website to be fully taken in and comprehended this should be outlined and kept snappy to keep the user interested. Large amounts of text will slow the user down and therefore will not read all of the content displayed on your website.

Thirdly - the right hand navigation bar does not fit in with the rest of the website. It is not dynamic and not large enought to attract the focus of the viewer. These graphics are quite important and more effort should be focused into getting them perfect.

Lastly, the main car image: "kds-int4.jpg" is not spaced properly and therefore looks strange within the context of the website as a whole. The margins surrounding each border should be equal for maximum effect.

Apart from those points, you have a pretty decent website - keep up the good work...
