Hi,

Please help me review my site. I have a problem with the left menu section. I can't seem to find the correct color combination, so I just left it white text for now.

Please help!

site : http://www.kaido-sports.com

Thanks first!

Nice site. I think that if you just darken they grey background in the menu the white type should work.

You might want to make the right margin in the menu a little smaller, the "vented carbon fiber hood" link is touching the left side of the menu area and looks a little awkward.

I noticed that the "Products", "Silvia Parts", and "Aero Hoods" links all take you to the same page. Maybe there should be seperate pages for the "Silvia Parts", and "Aero Hoods" products. If too many links are taking a viewer to the same place it may appear to be a mistake.

Agreed, make the menu bar a darker grey should do the trick (like along the top menu).
Good site!

The site looks good. Much better than 90% of the crap I see posted on these forums.

My only suggestions:

The light colors make the site look washed out. It gives it an uncommited feel.

Also, I would optimize the site to fit into 800x600.

You also need to put alternative text navigation (copy of the main navigation) on the very bottom of the page so users don't have to scroll all the way back to to navigate.

thanks for all the comments.

I'll try to darken the left menu background color to bring out the white text link.

"I noticed that the "Products", "Silvia Parts", and "Aero Hoods" links all take you to the same page. Maybe there should be seperate pages for the "Silvia Parts", and "Aero Hoods" products. If too many links are taking a viewer to the same place it may appear to be a mistake."

That is an excellent idea. Also will be great for SEO's. I'll work on that this weekend.

Unfortunatley I am very embarassed to say that 800x600 is not an option. I've constructed the tables to 1024x768 and higher. I figured most of my clients will be young adults, they normally have 18" + super flat LCD panel for viewing and gaming? ( just kidding )

Thanks everyone for their kind suggestions. Hopefully I will be able to make all the changes these next couple of days.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Cheers!

I like it & my only comment is that since you have such a nice colour scheme ammend the styles on your links (are u using CSS) so that blue & purple defaults are changed for something that goes with colour scheme maybe darker brown or burnt orange something like that. You are right about pale white links - difficult to read & dont stand out again look at a colour wheel for possible harmonious or complimentary colours that would fit your already quite nice colour theme. http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/ Useful tool for all designers !!

Found your site interesting. You apparently have quite a bit to offer in the way of automotive stuff.

I was confused when I visited your site initially because nothing in your header or introductions really qualified what type of site it is, what specific business you are in, who your target customers are etc.

It might be helpful to have an "about us" section on your site for non-automotively inclined visitors like myself
