Website Review and Suggestions

Hello,
My name is Daniel St. Jules and I'm the owner of http://www.gamexe.net, a web design, graphic design, and gaming related website. I recently released a new version of the site along with a new style I've made and I'd like for some users to offer me their input on the site in general, and more specifically the new layout. I'm trying to improve the design as much as possible within the next week, eliminating any bugs, as well as following the recommendations of various users. So, I'd very much appreciate any suggestions and comments onthe website.

Hey thats a nice website you have there.

I like the colors that you have used, they compliment themselves nicely. Its also good the way you have shown the SOTW winner at the top, it was one of the first things I noticed. Moving on to the news section, the way you have done that is nice too, I like the small change in color when you rollover the news.

But personally I would change the border on the text you have in the logo - It does not seem quite right for me. I'd also make the rounded "talk" and "rank" buttons stand out a bit more by the search box.

Overall I'd give it a 9/10

Hey there - very nice. Only thing that I saw was that when you go into the Forum, there is no easy way to get back to the "homepage" (or atleast, I could not find it). Maybe add a link. Other than that - it is a very nice layout. Good luck.

Loooks nice, but I would say the forum skin is a bit too dark. Try lighting it up a little bit.

I like dark forum skins but that's dark, text blends in too much, maybe a light grey.

That hover feature is neat. And you made some serious effort towards Web2.0
