OK guys...this is my web site in which I will promote myself to potential clients. I need straight forward and honest opinions.

http://www.NateTheWebGuy.com

I'm currently working out some minor bugs in IE...so, some issues I'm aware of. I'm still working on the 'about me' and 'services' pages...my descriptions right now are vague and plain...i'm really focusing in on the overall design aspects right now..not really the content...although, i would appreciate some feedback on the Portfolio section.

Thanks in advance.
-Nate

Hi Nate,

Nice clean design The only suggestion I have is in regards to the menu on the left hand side. Id recommend adding the same amount of padding (white space) down the left hand side of the menu, as you have down the right hand side of the page. At the minute it looks slightly unbalanced.

Good luck with your site
Will

Hi,

I like the smooth design and layout of the site. Simple to navigate and nicely arranged content.

The background of the header is nice; the only thing I might change is maybe putting the big "N" at an angle so that it's less flush to the edge of the page. Just somehting I might change personally.

The only other thing I'm getting is a slight whitespace to the left of the title of the main content... if that makes sense.

Cheers.

There are four slight errors that need some attention then your code will be valid (or eight if you apply the Strict Doctype).

Are you moving the Services information off the homepage to the separate 'Services' page?

I've just tried using the text-re size facility in IE7 and it does not change the text size it does though mess up the layout. Text resizing does however work in Firefox 2.

Great clean webpage. Quick on the loads, but you need more content. Try to fill your site up a little more. Obviously you just started the web site, or there would be more. See if you can throw in a forum section, so people can discuss web design, or even computers in general. Good job!

Hi, I like the way you designed your website. Simple, informative and clean web design. Don't worry about the errors from w3.org validation, even Google or Yahoo still has that same problem. Nothing much I can suggest you here, like what DraconusIT have said, all the things need to be done is more content. Anyway, well done and keep it up

Thanks. I'm running it through the W3C validation to fix those errors. I'm not sure what you mean by the strict doctype? I normally don't mess with it..Dreamweaver sticks it in an I assume all is well

The homepage will have a list of services, and then the 'services' page will have a more in-depth explanation of each service that I offer.

Can you attach a screenshot? Also, suggestions on how to fix this issue? I've never messed with text resizing...so it's unfamiliar territory for me

Very good clean design. The background of the header is nice and your site loads quite fast too. However, I suggest you to add more content.
