Hi there.
Im looking for reviews on my 1/2 complete website.

www.sceneparty.com as you can see its not complete currently. We are working on it like crazy at the moment.

Check out this link: SITE PREVIEW
This is a cached version to show you what im trying to go for on the main page. Give it time and it should be ready

www.sceneparty.com/indextest.php
www.sceneparty.com/indextest2.php

You will see here, we're just adding more stuff to it day by day. We'll be adding lots of AJAX and Ruby on Rails to the site over the next week or so.

www.sceneparty.com/join_us.php if you have say, a myspace layout's site and want to create a profile to get extra targeted traffic or just want to sign up, would be great, every one is welcome.

The site is not complete as i said but i thought i would give people here at Webmaster-talk priority for usernames and a chance to be first to sign upto what should hopefully be quite a successful website.

Just to let you know, the site will also have AJAX chat and IM functions, aswell as 5 blogs using this custom theme http://www.iec-2003.org/sceneparty

The blogs will be Celebrity,News,Music,Gaming,Tech and the articles will be professionally written and be updated twice a day.

If you have stumbleupon and delicious we would love it if you tagged and stumbledupon us.

If you could give opinions or even sign up Would be very nice.

Thanks

I like the design, maybe you should consider moving some of the content to area that is visible on first load of the page without scroling.

I am using Mozilla Firefox and the layout seems not to be working properly, the people profiles and copyright.

The images are all busted in the body copy. It's hard to evaluate it without the full picture(s).

Other than that, the best review I can give is to ask a two-part question, one that I don't see answered here:

How does SceneParty differ from any other social networking website, and why should anyone use it more than say Facebook or Myspace?

I am struggling to understand most of this site as the copy writing is not complete, replace the lorem ipsum with meaningful text, and i would recommend removing the big banner as it 'grabs' the eye... hope that helps

good luck

I really like the design, its well thought and catchy.

I have a slight problem in FF with the fact that you have to scroll across the view all the main content on the index page. Also in IE6 some of the images are not work correctly.

I do agree with Adam and have to say what makes your website different from any other social networking website?
