Please review my site and tell me what you think:http://www.uselesspeople.com/

I am aiming for just a nice, simple design, that looks ok and is not too complicated.

Its also my first website made just with notepad

Good job for your first swing at the bat (first site design). It is definitely plain, which is what you said you were going for. Maybe a little to plain for my taste. A few images are not a bad thing.

it's definatly not too complicated, so I think you achieved your goal. A few well chosen images on the homepage could really make it more interesting while still keeping things simple.

You definitely have a clean, simple look for your site. It can still be clean and simple even if you decide to add some graphics.

I suggest adding a little more contrasting colors to it to liven it up some. The colors and text are good, but just needs a little extra.

I think that the top text that looks like navigation should be navigation. It's only a personal preference, and others might not agree, but I don't like text that looks like navigation and it's not.

It's definitely a good start!

Congratulations for your first site!

I'm going to start by telling you the goods. I think it look very clean and the navigation is very user friendly. I would suggest to use a backgroud color lighter so the contrast between font color and background will make it easier to the eye.

The overall is very good, keep up the good work.

OK, simple design, so well done for that.
I would change the background colour for either the top or the main area, as they are too similar to each other.
Also on the subject of colours, what about experimenting with different colours for the links on the left (ie Main Menu in a different colour, other than just white).

from a first website point of view it looks good. the colour scheme works and is coherent.

the pages look too dull tho, nothing to make me click anywhere. some of the main text links on the front page go to other websites which is definately not a good thing.

Develop it a little more with some orginal content and it will be a winner.

I like the site, nice basice honest and non of those annoying frills.

I don't think link exchange is a good idea, joining a web ring generally gets the ranking up to a reasonable level.
