Hello all, my site is www.invisionsoft.co.uk. I am using a CMS although I have extended it alot building my own plugins and themes. Don't worry about going to "extreme" lengths to evaluate my site, I'd just like an opinion. And like the guide said, I've evaluated 3 others in return.

looks to microsoft to me I think the Google AdSense shouldn't be on top - may be on the bottom it'll look better
everything else looks good (you use a lot of div-s - I like that)

It's a nice looking site. I think the blue down the left side is a little solid, maybe put a slight gradient image repeating down there instead, that will give it some texture.
I agree with the point regarding the ads. I don't think you'll get anyone clicking the ads which overlap your banner. Prehaps consider some skinny text-only ads across the top.

For 13 years old, I'm thinking along the same wavelength as you. Because im 15, and I started web designing when I was 12. The site is looking nice, except I believe that is a premade e107 template? :S.

Although, your knowledge of VB and other non web based coding skills seems to be very good. XtenDS looks to be good.

Regards.

Yes, it is a premade e107 template, I am working on my own design now using javascript (Ajax) so the content is updated without having to reload the page. I know the image looks Microsofty, lol, the theme is an XP theme after all... Thanks for the tips on the ads, I'll use those ideas in my new design.

Looks good

If I was to be really critical, I don't like the animated emoticons. They are too distracting from the main content.

I'd also remove the "Click Below To Register" at the top, or make it a link.

rhyswynne, thanks for replying. I see your point with the animated icons, they've been there for ages. I cleaned up the chatbox to save loading times and MySQL space and to rid some pointless posts. The Click below to register link was supposed to have an image below for unregistered users. I don't know where that's gone, but you're right, it does get in the way. I've removed it. Thanks again

The point of your site is to highlight the software you are creating, but there does not seem to be much information on them. For example, you highlight on your home page that XtenDS is a popular software, but what does it do. Where is the page dedicated to that.

There are download links to software but no information of what the software programs do. Why waste a tab on stie stats, when it would be better used for something like products or software.

Design is okay, but the header where you place your website link is not matches the blue theme...whether you use some shade of yellow or orange...

Google search you can place on the right site where chat box placed above the chat box so that user can directly go if they want to search it...

The left side is totally blank with only login panel....you can place your website main links on the left side and remove the login from there it is already place on the header too....

I like the readability and the coloring. It is very easy on the eyes. Very easy to navigate.

I am not a fan of the adsense links because most people place them where content should be.

All in all it looks like a very good business site.

It all looks very nice, if a little dated, not sure Microsoft would like you using their famous green hill graphic, copyright laws and all.
You need to clarify the purpose of the site and what people can expect to see and get from it.

I'm not sure you should ( or can ) use any windows content : the default wallpaper on XP. It really looks like you had no resources to do this. Just have a look on google for a lanscape + tree image and replace it... that would be a lot better

Wow, I didn't expect this much replies! I've been on Holiday for 2 weeks, so I haven't been able to check the replies... Anyway, thanks to everyone who posted, It's made me think about the layout alot and about the aim of my site. Well, I am drawing up a new layout and promotions strategy using the advice from here and another web review forum. I have already noticed increases in adsense profits since I got advice from somebody, which is really good! Well, now I can have fun changing my layout!

Good soothing colors. It is very easy on the eyes. Very easy to navigate. Very good business site. I like the softwares. You must explain the purpose of the site very clearly and also increase the size of the fonts.

Also some bad English "You're arrived at our development site" and your HTML 4 validation has errors
