I would be interested in hearing any feedback on a new site for a real estate agent.

www.audreybullock.com

Thanks in advance.

I took at look, and it isn't bad.

I like the color scheme, and the theme, but here are my comments:

(1) I would look for a new logo...i get the idea, but it just looks kinda sloppy, or at least doesn't have a serious feel with the slant and all.

(2) I would try to encorporate more pictures of the actual properties, maybe as backgrounds behind the text in the body...where it is white now

Just some suggestions...looks good overall, very clean

Good Luck!

The logo definatly needs work, you should also try and get a cleaner version of the century 21 logo. other than it's not bad, clean, very simple.

cmonkey,

Thanks for the feedback. The Century21 logo is admittedly ragged. Unfortunately, it is literally the best I could find. There are so few good resources for logos on the net. Even Century21.com has no resources.

Ok, I think I've got that Century21 logo looking better.

nice looking site... do the listings on that site automatically come out of the mls database, or do you manually update?

Aura,

Great question. The answer is that it is a manual process, but for a very good reason. The agent complained that the listings out of the MLS can be up to 4 weeks old and many houses showing up in the MLS have already been sold. This is particularly true in Maryland where the housing market is hot. So the agent wanted an absolutely real-time vehicle for showing her properties to her customers on the net. Hopefully, that's what we've provided.

So I developed a web application (largely hidden from internet users) accessible via a control panel. The agent punches in the details about the listing and uploads a picture without needing to FTP. Listings can be updated, deleted, disabled/enabled and so forth. It also has image file management built in to manage the uploaded images.

Again, most of this is out of view of the visitor, but that's the basic premise behind the site.

Thanks,

Kyrnt

I think it looks pretty good. On the contact page the fields are not lined up or anything, I think you should throw those into a table and keep them all aligned (it will look more professional in my opinion) instead of all over the page. Good luck with your design.
