Website Review and Suggestions

Hey guys can you tell give me some pointers on the design and overall structure of my tutorials website www.oopcenter.com

I'm also integrating it with my forum /forum, but I'm having some problems with that

Looks to have good content but what is the site about?? Needs an "about this site" page to tell people.
You MUST change the pale green Bidvertiser box, the colour is painful to the eye!!!

Don't you think it's obvious what the site is about? I mean the page title says it all, so does the content.

Perhaps I should put the description on the whitespace on the top of the banner, but I want to save that for advertising

. So I'll create an about page just to be safe

Anything else guys? How about the structure, and the suppossed integration with the forums www.oopcenter.com/forum ( and the forum skin

)

I think you should make the color of text of the content more eye catching...my first though was where is the content

The links are right smack in the middle of the page. Do I really need to emphasize more?

The name of your site should be on your banner. A slogan usually is a good thing to add too. Right now I see a meddle guy and a few books.. What does that really say about your site?

Good content and nice header image but there is no clear hint as to what is your site all about. You should add "About Us" page. Orange color is fine and soothing for the eyes.
