Website Review and Suggestions

Hi,

I've been working on improving this site I'm designing for kid's to search videos.

Below are two layout versions I've come up with that I think might have better appeal than what I currently have. All feedback is welcome, but please tell me which you prefer as well as any suggestions.

What age range are you going for?

Kids are going into high tech more than you can imagine, and that layout would be best for kids under 8 at most

Overall it looks kindof blaze really, but i don't know what effects you will add so..

Try adding alot of interactivity besides the video selection, like make the person say something depending on what the user does, etc

The first graphic is best, the use of Manga style images limits the sites use.

How are you getting around any copyright issues with using others videos?

I like the first one more. I agree with MrTom about copyright. I wonder how stage6.com does it?

#1 looks better and even the youngest kid can relate to a remote control.

I like both designs better than the original.

To us, adults, the website may seem goofy in a way. But I'm sure that if this website is oriented to kids they would appreciate this kind of design.

I have to say I started watching the videos on your site and I could not stop. They were crazy! You don’t see kids’ videos like that any more. BTW I like the #2 better the remote is kind of distracting. Good luck.

#2 Id have to say is the better out of the 2 and I agree grade school kids would love a site like this.

Whoa! I'd be watching what kind of advertisements pop up if this is supposed to be a kids web site! I just saw an ad with two adults making out for a "soul mate" web site!
