hey xposed,
the site seems pretty good to me, the only design thing I have is to make the gray navbar a little easier to read. I don't know depending on your demographic, if its all young people, don't worry about it

.
As far as page loading... i know on some sites like this you can render all of your dynamic content the night before and build out a new set of html pages each day. That way you greatly ease the strain on the server as your 500,000 visitors come to it, its now just serving up html pages.
xposed, sounds like porn to me, that was the first thing i thought of and was like, come on... why post a porn site here?

, I was happy that it wasn't. Sounds like expose gentlemen's club. I guess the only thing you can do to help that is to come up with a really good tag line, one that says you cater to men, but are not porn.
a hair cutting business here in austin has a similar problem, they are called "sexy scissors", so you wonder what kind of lady is going to cut your hair

. They do advertise that they cater to men, and that a beautiful lady will cut your hair, yada yada.
please remain popup free. more and more people have popup blockers so they will return less and less anyways. Pop ups are the number one way to get rid of visitors, as it annoys them and makes your site seem less real, more dangerous. I know for me, as soon as I block a popup, I leave the site.
I don't think the subscription page is intrusive at all. A lot of sites do this, maybe not after five page views, but at least when the user leaves the site, they show a page asking for opinions, reminders of subscription options, etc...
