but if I was looking for a DJ I'd want to hear streaming audio (if you are the mix it up style dj). I dont like how the photo gallery is seperate from the web site... its good to keep it all in one place if you can... people are wary of pop ups.

Well first a dj site would be way more colors and more pics on the main page that grab the audiences attention. And i would change the voice box thing it just looks gay lol. Thanks again Bye justin chelf.

You have a long way to go, but it's not a bad start. If you're new at the web design game I would suggest starting out with a little research, check out some of the bigger NYC DJs, many of them have sites now that were professionaly done, maybe that will help give you a little design inspiration, you can also check out some of the free template sites for something that will get you up and running a little faster.

It's great to have a website, but remember, a lot of the time, your site will be the first impression people get of you, and if it's poorly done, that reflects badly on you.

It seems most DJ sites I goto look just like this. I dont know why but I think a DJ site should have more of an advanced look to it. The site looks like it was designed in frontpage with a little dreamweaver work. Anyway your business is pretty close to me I live in Rochester.

I have to agree with the rest - besides being really boring colors, the pages don't make want to run out and book you guys.
You need color .. people looking at this must also have the feeling you guys are slick and pro - it looks very amateurish.
You need to keep your fonts uniform .. your pics are burried .. you need to make the homepage the best impression .. instead og clicking through most people will click out.
It's tough selling yourself .. but i agree .. look at some other music services sites and get some ideas.
And remember .. contact us details are the most important .. make them stand out more

Thanks for the comments thus far.

Hey justin, I removed the voicebox. As far as looking at other sites to get ideas, I have. I just wanted to stand out away from the crowd a little. Any positives or should I just start over?

Keep em' coming.

Thanks,

Dale.

You defiantly need some graphics and try brighter colours you need to make the site look attractive and stand out to users, also you could do with more content, the more things you have the more often tour visitors will come back.

Also one small thing... on your fun photos page when you click the 'photo viewer' button the window that opens is too small needs to be wider.

Good Luck

I agree with most of what's been posted. So let's move on to the positives.

I like that your Next Event box is right under the navbar, but spaced just a little down. I can see right off that the navbar ended but I can't help noticing the box. Good idea.

Your footer works well too, for the most part. (Open the wedj.com link in a new window.) I can get around the site without scrolling back up to the navbar. And having your phone number there is good.

Putting that instaquote link on the front page should help, too. (A navbar button would be helpful.) And I like the text at the top right of the page.

So yeah, there are some positives. (BTW: Greece is a suburb of Rochester. Three WNY people on one board, can you believe it?)

Hey,

I think that you have a good start, good navigation...

The color squeme, not good. Take advantage of the theme and use strong and fun colors. Add some pictures and sound, maybe a forum where the people who went to your partys can talk about it. Get some action going.

Good luck!

The colours don’t work I would start again. It is not bad but then it is not good. Try this site for help with colours. http://www.colormatch.dk/
