Please, please, please, please,please! If you are going to write a tutorial on learning HTML. Teach it semantically, accessibly and please teach appropriate web structure! If I see another tutorial teaching incorrect methods I think I might just go postal.

On another note, the adverts obstruct the tutorial and are not positioned optimally anyway. Please consider repositioning them.

The design's lovely, but I'd have to agree with the two above me.
The last thing the world needs is another resource for novices to learn bad habits from.

We can't all be the same. But we could all write in a way that is simple, fluent and effective.

nice site...very navigatable....easy to read and understand and I'm surfing tonight to find out just that....how 2 make a website!

I'm a little ambivalent about your use of "2" vs "to" in the above sentence. Seems a little amateurish....I'm a total newbie mind you! On the other hand it does make the phrase stand out well. I wonder if there are other options. Good luck!

Hi,

Just a quick one...

Code:
<OBJECT CLASSID="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" WIDTH="652" HEIGHT="511" CODEBASE="http://active.macromedia.com/flash5/cabs/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0">
<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="dreamweaver-tutorials1.swf">
<PARAM NAME=play VALUE=true>
<PARAM NAME=loop VALUE=false>

<PARAM NAME=quality VALUE=low>
<EMBED SRC="How To Make A Website With Dreamweaver 8.swf" WIDTH=652 HEIGHT=511 quality=low loop=false TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">
The video is working in IE because the movie parameter is set to the correct .swf file (dreamweaver-tutorials1.swf). But Netscape based browsers (inc. Firefox) use the EMBED tag which currently seems to have the incorrect file name (How To Make A Website With Dreamweaver 8.swf). This probably means that people with Firefox, Opera, Netscape etc will not see the movie.

I used Firefox and didn't see it; but it worked in IE.

Cheers.

Thanks,

I will fix it now. I overlooked that

Your design is "not changed at all" design from here:
http://www.openwebdesign.org/viewdesign.phtml?id=4023

I don't know if your content is original or you also got it from somewhere, but if its original its not bad.
