Website Review and Suggestions

My little website named xBrain
Visitors around 50k monthly since July.
Manage to get top 10 in Google for certain keyword.
But the question is :

1) Why my PR is still 0
2) How about the theme that Im using, have a plan to change it
3) Why Google and MSN shows no backlink and Yahoo I have more than 1000

Is it a fairly new site? If it is then it might not have had time to be given PR yet. But the results of the latest PR check should be in soon, and if you have a few decent backlinks, your PR should go up

Yes, that's correct, if your page if newer, it'll take a few weeks for Google to update their databases. Nice site, if you want a logo done for cheap, pm me, I'll help you out, especially if you want a sexy Web2.0 logo

How many backlinks you have...??? as this is the most important criteria to decide PR

Site has 50k Monthly, ranks for Keywords...who gives a flying **** about pagerank with those stats.

That's Google for you. Ssslllooowww but then again if you're ranking the entire Internet it might be slow. Give it just a little longer. Google won't refuse you for no reason.

Same is the case with my site www.homeopathy.com.pk. I had put up another site at the same time that has already achieved PR 2 and yet another three months later that has got PR 1. All of these are less then 6 months old.

It may be possible that new domains go up without much of problem whereas expired domains take time. I assume so because I got expired domain for my homeopathy site while all others were new. OR ... may be some other reason that I cannot guess.

You should be happy you get that lot visitors from google, don't mind about pagerank, it's ranking that count.

Don't mind for PR.. because it will come sooner..Just feel so lucky coz you get that 50k visitor for a month...

I wouldn't bother too much about PR. If your getting the visitors and ranks well on keywords then I wouldn't worry about it. PR isn't important anyway.

nice site but i do agree with the above, page rank doesnt really mean anything, i find its for people who want to show off.

I have known sites with 15k members who are only pr5 while my small site with 77 members is only pr3 so dont get too frustrated, 50k is a very very good traffic.

This is so true -- I'm having the same problem with my blog -- been there for a few months and just can't get a PR. Now I'm not a PR-crazed webmaster, but (always that "BUT"..lol) so many people won't link to me because I have no PR! It's getting to be a catch-22. I've even had web directories that won't list me because there's no PR.

What to do? Just keep trucking, I guess and hope it gets that ranking that will make the rank-ravers happy, too.

External PageRank and backlinks are updated infrequently, and are useless measures anyway. Your traffic and search engine referrals are the best measures.

However, in this case your traffic levels may be artificially inflated i.e. your "visitors" may be bots crawling through your site as opposed to actual people. Try installing Google Analytics on your site and then measure the results. It's a Javascript-based solution, so it eliminates most if not all of the bots out there.

If those webmasters will not accept you because you have no PR, then I personally would not bother with them. At the end of the day, they should like your website because they value the content and not the PR.

Keep on trucking along and you find plenty of webmasters out there who will link to your website because of the content. Interesting content is more important than PR any day.

Tx Hamsey! While I try to take that attitude, sometimes I do get frustrated.

Wish more people would get it thru their heads that it's more about content than PR -- it astounds me how much credence is put on "PR" and how little on actual content.

But yes, I'll keep trucking and when "great minds" (lol) think alike, that helps keep the motivation going.
