The website that got me featured on CNN and received many visitors in the first few days has been updated in terms of design and content.

Steve Irwin Memorial

Please review

Haha great idea, Steve was an absolute legend. I heard he had more pull over the aussie people than the Australian Prime Minister!

Wow...you used the Georgia font in a way that doesn't look like complete crap. That alone is impressive.

Three very minor points:

1) The news.com.au articles no longer work (looks like they've been archived).

2) If you could y'know, just go ahead and make the text a little larger, that'd be greaaaaaaaat.

3) The hover borders on the menu create a weird spacing effect. If you had the borders normally, that would probably solve that.

Other than that, great work. It's neat, easy to read, clean, organized, all that good stuff.

I have to say that its looks really impressive. It is simple in design, but yet very attractive. My only suggestion is about the borders that Adam as already mentioned.

Steve Irwin is a legend and your doing a wonderful job with this memorial.

Now the serious stuff..

1) Thanks, frontpage links removed, articles page I'll sort out later after work

2) I'll see what I can do Already enlarged some.

3) Fixed. However I don't think it looks right with borders on the link so I'll keep it to hover for now.

It looks a little cluttered to me. Kind of has a cramped quality with a bit to much going on in terms of text. I think the colors are fine, the design is simple yet effective.
In my opinion, this page is totally suitable for your purposes though I don't think it would turn anyvheads in terms of innovative and interesting design.

beautiful idea, i agree above though, it does look quite cluttered, maybe frame the side panels where the other content is and try and break it away from the main news in the middle, or maybe keep it as a 2 column site instead of 3

very nice site, its nice to see his fans spend so much time and love in a site to remember him

I like the colours & actually for this site the feel of a newspaper works well & I love georgia font!!!

I love the gallery & the fact that people can comment on the photos.

Its a lovely content site. Steve was a man that many people the world over felt they knew and loved and somewhat strangely people like this affect us deeply when they die. His death like the death of Diana made whole nations go into mourning. I say strange because not many of us actually knew these people yet we grieve real emotion cry real tears and smile when we see fantastic photos of Steve with his animals and his family.

I spent ages searching the site and completely forgot I was doing a review so I guess really the review matters not because the website is doing exactly what it should.

It navigated easily, the colours are pleasant and the layout works fine.

Well done on all counts !

Thanks everyone. For those who said it looks cramped, please tell me which parts look cramped.
