Decided to spruce up my portfolio site with a new look, stylesheet, and some improved PHP scripts.

What do you think?

is that part of your design to have the blue bar on the left hand side? If so, i'm not a big fan of it. I feel that it draws attention away from your content.

Yeah, I think that you should change it. If you look at the way that people will look at the average web site, then you'll see that people don't automatically look at the right side.

You might want to move the main content to the center of the page, and then have that bar on both sides leading out.

man its so good looking, I just cannot get used to the right side alignment. Maybe you should turn it into a Japanese site or something, or flip to and put it in the left or center. Good LUck~

hehe thanks for the comments!

I had a feeling people might get used to the right-hand theme to it. I sort of did it as its not something you see in a lot of websites, thinking it would be pretty cool! lol.

I might shift it to the left, or I may try to think of something to add to it to sort it out.

Agreeing with what others have said, the right-hand alignment is making my brain want to leap out of my head and go hide in a dark corner. Every time I get to the end of a line, my eyes shoot back to the left of the screen. That's what they are accustomed to doing. They like it there. In fact, when I am looking at the page in fullscreen I am actually fighting my eyes to keep looking; they want to go left! I have resized my window to just as large as the site so that I can put it on the left of my screen.

The reason I am harping on the alignment is because there is nothing else to complain about. Your navigation and subheadings are all precise, and though the design is somewhat busy and futuristic it does not detract from the final product. Very good!

Precise navigation and subheadings. The design is cool futuristic and does not detract from the final product. Very nice effort. However move the main content to the center of the page.

Not a big fan on websites to the left, but it's clean, and not bad.

Looks nice!

However you may want to change the body text to normal weight. The general rule of thumb is that Bold should only used to highlight important text or in headings. The whole of body text in bold makes it somewhat difficult to read.
