Website Review and Suggestions

I've been working on the following site, to try to make it appealing to most people, after taking the advice from experienced designers I've changed the design once again.

)(Changes I made:
Changed the header to fit with the border I added.
Gave the site a backgound so it wouldn't feel TOO dark

Please tell me what you think

I think your site looks great. That header piece on the left makes it look a bit 3D.

I can't tell what's in the header background, maybe you can clarify the background of the header a bit.

I like the design of your website a lot, it's very good

1. The white text navigation could be a bit more clear - maybe turn these into buttons with roll over effect?

The design is unique, but the text on the navigation and other text is pretty unclear.
