I started this Bidding Web Directory.

What do you think of it? Is the design right? will it encourage ppl to buy a link? or not??

No I think that the colors are good. But if you don't like it, try making the background color a lighter gray.

I like it, very clean, good colors. I do have one complaint their seems to be alot of wasted space, don't get me wrong I hate clutter but on the right below the recommended sites it's just white empty realestate.

Considering you're already selling ad space don't put more ads. To be honest I can't think of anything, but it should be something that will make people come back to your site. Something free maybe, free advice, free ads on a crappier page, a joke, something to ad value (again no idea what though).

Quite a nice layout and there is nothing annoying there. The colors are quite nice, but you should take into consideration the piece of advice given by WebcyteDesign and put something interesting on the right part of your homepage.
