Website Review and Suggestions

I have redesigned one of my sites http://www.ecarttemplates.com Would like to get some feedback about the new look. Still have a lot of shopping carts to add takes a lot of time to get them entered.

Your site looks quite bland to me. Here are a few suggestions:

I think you'd be better off sticking with blue/gray/white colors for the underlines in the navigational menu. That rainbow effect just isn't working here.

I noticed at the bottom of your page you are using a reflective effect for your design. Instead of sticking that all the way at the bottom, how about trying to integrate reflections at the top part of your site? How about your logo? The site is just too dull...it needs a few interesting elements to help liven it up a bit.

The rollover background color in your main content area is sorry to say, ugly. Try to use colors that complement your existing color scheme. That color certainly does not.

And now for the positives

I like the rounded corners. It makes your website look smoother. I like your logo (I do think you should get rid of that orange color and again, use a color that complements the color scheme). I also like the reflection on the bottom of the page. I do really think you should try to use that under the logo as well.

I think the text is not well rendered here:

'contact us' and 'customer login' are a bit left for me, on firefox2/win. Although IE7 does render it well. And the links to the pages at the top are too close, consider putting a space between, like at the bottom.
Another thing that renders differently is the actual table where you put the shopping carts' name and description. In FF2 it looks just perfect, but in IE7 there is a top and a bottom/border in the cells where you put the name of the product. That's all about look.
And yeah, I like the way you integrated the AdSense ads. It's nice yet clearly visible.
About functionality: If I were interested in shopping carts, but had little or no money, I'd like to see all the free carts in one place, or maybe sort the list by price.
That's it, not a complete review, but things I've spotted. Hope it helps a bit.

The text at the very top in black against graduated grey is not clear, Google sometimes considers this to be bad practice and just trying to get SEO on those keywords. I'd remove them.

I have the same problem with "Contact Us" and "Customer login" as aatiis. Besides I think you should use brighter colors for grey makes quite a gloomy and dull impression. Put some images and pictures on your website to make it more attractive.

Nice use of colors and design. Good rounded corners, cool logo and I really like the reflection on the bottom of the page. But text at the very top in black against graduated grey is not clear. What browser did you use that rendered this?

Thanks for all of the feedback. It has been now a 2 month journey mainly on the backend. Spiders are fun to work with and some of the site uses them.

This site have a good idea, but you need make things more bright, template thumbs for each Cart Template...
