Blog Hang Out is for sale!
Blog Hang Out is for sale! Blogging - it's the latest craze that everyone's jumping on to. It seems that everyone has a blog these days, on any number of topics. What people want now is a way to drive traffic to their blogs. But not just any traffic, or random 'hits' - they want traffic that will leave comments, subscribe to live feeds, and keep coming back for more. So what kind of person would be interested in a blog? Someone who already has their own blog!
Blog Hang Out is a unique, one of a kind website that caters for this situation. It links blogs with blogs, bloggers to bloggers.
Note: this is not a 'clone' or 'turn-key' website. This is one of a kind, and sold as-is.
How did Blog Hang Out come to be?
I purchased an existing manual traffic exchange website. It was a bare shell of a website, with basic functionality but not much more. I then registered the domain name www.bloghangout.com, and organised quality hosting for the site. Then came the hard part. I had to design exactly what I wanted my website to look like, and the functions that I wanted it to have. I hired a team of web developers to do this work for me, and they did a fantastic job that took over a month to complete.
They started by designing a logo for me, then they worked on the 'street' theme that I wanted for the site. Then came the functionality parts. I gave the developers a list of extra functions that I wanted Blog Hang Out to have - things that you won't find on other manual traffic exchanges.
My favourite is the 'comparing blogs' section. Here, surfers can compare two blogs and vote for the one they like best. All blogs are then shown on a ladder, so that any user can see which blog is liked the most, and therefore can see what they can do to make their blog more popular.
I also asked for a 'comments' section, so that surfers can leave comments for other bloggers. This works for everyone - surfers get credits for leaving a comment, and the blog owner can get constructive feedback about their blog.
I also had the developers link up the website to paypal, so that users can easily purchase credits instead of surfing for them. Three membership levels were created - a free 'bronze' account, and then 'silver' and 'gold' accounts, which require a one-time payment for life membership. Upgraded users get a higher surfing ratio, plus free randomly assigned referrals.
Most importantly, the website is configured with AnSense ads. While users are surfing to earn credits, they're also being shown ads that can make YOU money.
So why am I selling Blog Hang Out?
Because I've just been accepted for an online blogging job with regular income. It was a hard job to get and I need to put all of my free time into maintaining my new, paid, blogs. I'm sad to see Blog Hang Out go, since it was my own creative ideas that went into it's design. But I don't want to only put minumal effort into it, and get minimal return.
The website was only launched about 2 weeks ago. There are around 20 current active users, however with some proper advertising this will be greatly increased. I didn't put much effort into getting the current users.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to run their own website. There is an admin control panel which easily lets you change aspects of the site, and to view member lists, email all members, change membership status etc.
Unlike other websites available on EBay, this is not a clone or turn-key website. As you know from reading above, it's one of a kind. The ideas came out of my own head, and the website development came from a professional team working for over a month.
