Yeah, W3mast3r hacked into the owner's hosting account and uploaded some PayPal screenshots. So, I don't feel foolish about it all. They requested a deposit ($2000) and of course, I sent it. W3Mast3r then sent some bogus files from March of this year.
After a few days, I contacted the real owner who said the site was never for sale.
No worries though, the idiot must not have known about the HUGE holiday we have in the US called Christmas, where almost everything comes to a halt. They probably never even got their money, and I get mine back from PayPal.
