there was 1 payment of 400$ and it was for 6 months,

i have to agree that the figure is a little misleading
a payment of $400 for 6 months should not be interpreted as profit in one month

however, this is not to say that is not a good deal or whatever

sorry my bad. I meant 1 payment of $400.
But you see you can't count that as $400 profit per month since the banner will stay there for 6 months.
The only advertising rate for $400 was for 1 year..according to your web site. http://www.webhostingforums.net/advertising.html

thats different i have other deals going on at the time, for 400 he got a 125x125 banner aswell onm 2 pages.

If anyone wants to try sell this site for more they can keep the profit, all i want is around 8000USD so if you sell it for more you can keep it , you dont have to tell me how much extra or who youare selling to,

I'd only be interested in buying this site if I could see how much it made from day 1, to see how the site grew. But since only some stats are shown (what happened to the recent ones? June 14th+)

when i deciced to try sell it i stop offering adverts/banners, and stoped e-amiing the members ,

i didnt want a lot of my banners stilling runing when someone else owned it,

and before there was a few but that was via 2checkout or check.

banners picked up alot when i got the members involed, (i e-mailed them)

uses about 6/8 gig a month, but thats increasing, this is all free, it costs nothing to run the forums, just time,

you need to add banners, and help members,

if you want me honest opinion NeVeR, and if you dont like what i say then please let me know and ill edit the thread

the site is vastly overpriced - i would be very surprised if you get anything close to that asking price

$9000.00 for a forum with less than a thousand members using free software is just too much. I know that hosting is a profitable sector but the way a potential purchaser will look at it is how much would it cost them to start a hosting forum and get to the save level your at - and for $9000.00 someone could spend a h****** lot of on advertising to launch a site.

I sell sites quite frequently and as chopper will vouch - youll never get anywhere close to the true value of the site. Chopper sold tech forums for about $3000.00 if i remember right (http://www.webmaster-talk.com/showth...2521#post22521) and the site had about 3500 members.

As i said hosting is more profitable than a technology forum but chopper had 4 times as many members, was using better forum software, had a better forum skin and still only got a third of what your asking

If you are really getting the amount of money your getting for advertising then youd be crazy to give it up.

Im sorry if you think im being harsh here but ive learned the hard way that you wont get the true value of the site
