Setext.com is an advanced, but yet simple web based tool that provides two-way communication between many wireless phones in the US and Canada. This sale is considered "Turnkey" and as such it should be assumed that this site has no traffic and generates no revenue at the time of sale. The domain is small and easily remember able, which is hugely important since each character matters due to the small message limit of SMS messages.
Highlighted Features:- Carrier Auto Detect: By maintaining a database of US and Canadian phone number ranges we are able to identify carriers for 98% of wireless numbers in the US. This allows us to send messages for free without the normal ~$0.05/message charge you normally incur when using an SMS gateway. Many of the other competing sites that offer a similar feature simply send via telefip. The problem with that is that they block messages after a certain threshold and that you lose an important advertising avenue since messages sent through that service are branded to them.
- Two-way Messaging: Another feature that sets this site apart from the rest is that wireless users can reply to messages sent via the web and have them forwarded to the sender's e-mail address (if they provided one). This dramatically visitor return rate since they are presented with a convenient link to reply in the email.
- Flash Myspace/blog tool: We offer a simple flash tool that allows users to place a flash widget on their pages that allow visitors to message them directly from their page. Another free advertisement/branding avenue since your logo will clearly be displayed. Also, since this is a flash file you host, you have the ability to modify add advertisements at any time. Technical Details:- Requirements: *nix platform, PHP 4 w/ IMAP support enabled, MySQL 4, ability to set up cron jobs, Apache web user added as trusted user to mail server and the ability to setup an catch-all email account that has email access. I will happily host everything for 90 days free of charge as long as there are fewer than 100,000 requests per day, or if you have a dedicated server or VPS I can assist you with getting setup.
- Phone Database: Since new exchanges are being daily and cell companies are constantly being bought I will provide bi-weekly updates for the next 9 months free of charge. The file is in CSV format and weighs in at about 20MB; it's a simple matter of uploading the file and executing 2 SQL queries to update it. If you're uncomfortable with this, I can do it at no extra charge since it's a simple task.
Monetizing a site similar to this is a cakewalk since you have advertisers such as Flycell that are paying $15 for each user that simply enters their phone number and confirms the pin. This code is 100% custom and has been developed by me. If you need additional changes I will provide up to 5 hours of my programming service relating to this site at no charge. I'm just a programmer so I can't do much as far as designing goes however. Any bug fixes will be free any will not count towards this. Domain is currently at Godaddy.
