I made an error in my listing. I actually have another domain name that I pay for using the same billing cycle. I had completely forgot about that, I just listed the total I get charged every month. The hosting is $29.13/month.
The traffic is almost all natural traffic, orginating from Google, Yahoo, a little MSN and your occasional AOL. The rest are through links which are added to users profiles when they use our resources. Some resources use text link for SEO purposes and others use images for user referals. The links and images are all changeable. I would say, at this point, 75% of traffic comes from search engines, 20% from MySpace profiles and the remaining 5% from bookmarks or word of mouth. We have also spread a few links around the community, which we get a few hits per day off of. If you download the Backlink Analizer, you will notice strong natural one way links. These keep the sites placement stable.
If you are interested, I will generate you a Google Sitemap report showing the keywords incoming and what ranking they are on google. I will also prepare a spread sheet showing traffic patterns.
I have no reason to beleive that switching a server will decrease your rankings or positioning. I run 2 LARGE sites, which I cannot name, and we have recently taken the plunge from Virtual Server to 2 dedicated machines. The transition was smooth and our rankings have not changed. We did not resubmit the site or change any of the layout. So my answer would probally be no, it should not harm it. I would get other opnions however, but I am sure they will be the same.
You could keep the hosting I have in place. It has plenty of room and bandwidth for what the site could do in the next few months. Throw a little Search Engine Opt. in the mix and you have ingredients for a good dinner!
