I have attempted to sell Prankified.com in the past. The first time the buyer fell through and the second time I was asking too much for the site. I would like to actually sell it this time. The site has enourmous potential and with a little bit of time and effort it could be turned into a profit machine.

Prankified.com is a site where people (mostly teens, member info is all recorded) can come and read about pranks, gather ideas and post their own. There are currently more than 2000 members who have posted more than 3000 pranks. The site has been consistently updated and improved for the past five years as my knowledge on PHP has improved.

This month the site is on pace to get more than 16,000 unique visitors compared to last February's 12,500. This site has been my project for so long and I see the potential but just do not have the time. I really want to see this site do good so I will do everything possible to help out the new owner.

The site generates revenue from a couple of text links along with google ads and a couple of affiliate programs that have done well in the past but are not advertised very well.

Oh at Prankified, I was a bit confused as to which forum you were referring to.

Yes, the forum went down for some reason unknown to me and I never had the time to fix it. It is a great tool to use and part of the plan was to use it to create a "community" feel at prankified with users coming back often to discuss pranks.

There are a lot of half created ideas for this site, the potential is just overwhelming. If I had the time I would love to keep the site.

On the other hand, the site is very functional as is and runs itself completely with many checks written in along with the option to approve all posts before they are shown. The site will be successful if the buyer continues to add and improve or if decide not to. The only thing I would 100% reccommend is diving into the enourmous potential of revenue that is available.

Yes, I am not planning on fixing it unless that is included in the terms of the sale. That forum has problems with it. It is a phpBB forum and does not fit in with the rest of the site. Also, users had to register with the site and the forum seperately. I would reccommend the buyer do something with the forum although it worked fine the way it was. I am not totally sure what is wrong with it but I am sure it wouldn't be very hard to get that forum working again.
