Using copyscape, it looks like the articles on the site are also scattered around the web. You may want to chase down the plagiarism sites first. That should increase the value of your site (you know how search engines are about duplicate content).

So, the content is not exclusive?
Do you have anything granting the author's permission for use?
I'd have to buy a site just to be sued for copyright infringement.

You would not be sued, the articles are from places that allow the articles to be grabbed and put on other sites.
